Buy it! May 9, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Got a lot of advice from friends and family during my wife's pregnancy, thankfully one friend reccommended this.
I might have bought a lot of other junk for our little man but this is excellent. No other word for it, good price, very good monitor, hope your little one brings as much joy as ours.
Everything you need April 25, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I don't normally bother writing reviews but I am so pleased with this little piece of kit that I thought I'd share it. The range is great, the clarity is excellent (no interference whatsoever), all the little extras (temp. display, intercom, lullabies etc.) are all very useful, and importantly it is very easy to use - no faffing about with instructions required. A great monitor at a great price, I'd say.
You can have confidence... April 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
in this monitor. We initially abought a Philips monitor and returned it after a series of days where I was standing outside the babies' room with the parent unit in my hand, listening to them scream and not a peep from the monitor. The BT monitor is excellent. The battery life is comparatively good and on maximum sensitivity I can hear our babies' every sniff and grizzle. The only neg thing I woudl say is that the temperature reading tends to show 1 degree too high (we have another two therometers in the room), but if you take that with a pinch of salt, its a great invesment!
Disappointing and frustrating ! April 15, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this as it was described as digital with 'crystal clear monitoring' - well, not in our case ! When we'd had it only two weeks, for three consecutive nights when our baby had a nasty cough and cold, the sound didn't transmit at all. It meant that I heard him coughing and crying down the corridor and not a peep came out of the monitor - the lights were flashing, but no sound. In the morning I checked everything was correct, batteries charged etc. Everything seemed fine. I switched it off and on again, and then it started to work again. The next night, same thing happened so I phoned the hotline who were as useful as a chocolate teapot and suggested I should monitor it for 4 consecutive hours in the daytime to see if there was really a fault !! Like any mum has 4 hours to spare to check a product that costs almost 70 and is described by them as top of the range, and I KNEW it had a fault. Needless to say, I returned it and replaced it with a different product that works like a dream.
One of my 'Baby Best Buys' April 11, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This was definately one of my 'Baby Best Buys'. The sound quality on this monitor is absolutely brilliant. It's so good and clear that my husband thought our baby was in the moses basket beside me when he heard our baby cry the first night I used it. There are a huge amount of menu options available on the monitor eg. melodies, temperature monitor (room too hot or room too cold), talk facility, light and torch. I have used all of them except the melodies - only due to lack of opportunity. I'd highly recommend this to anyone. It really is worth every penny. If I was to criticise anything, it would be the belt clip... it could be more secure. Mine has bounced a couple of times! - but in saying that, it's still working, so I suppose that's another plus for it too!!!
