Tamagotchi Connexion is a great virtual pet! It can teach you the fun of having pets(only it`s not as smelly as having real one)! First of all you hatch your egg. Will it be a boy or will it be a girl? After that, it will need parenting to live and grow up. Unlike the orignal Tamagotchi sold in the late 90`s, Tamagotchi Connexion has Infra-red communication on the top of the toy allowing owners to connect their Tamagotchis together. So they can make friends, play games together, give each other presents, and if one owner has a boy, and the other has a girl, when they become adults, they can get married and have kids. Then both parents will stay with their children for two more days, and when those days have passed, both of the parents will leave and return to the Tamagotchi Planet. Then you are asked to give parenting to the child, so it can also live and grow up. As well as you keep on letting them get married, so they can have children aswell. Think of caring for your own Tamagotchi family chain. They don`t need to connect with someone else to get married either. If your Tamagotchi has been an adult for three days without getting married, a matchmaker will show up to suggest a wife/husband.
Besides that, when it hatches, you can give it a name. Then you can feed it, clean up after it, discipline when it`s being naughty, praise it when it`s upset, cure it when it`s sick, exercise it when it gets overweight and watch it grow up. The Tamagotchi can become different characters as it grows up. The one it will become depends on how you care for it. Tamagotchi Connexions feature a number of other enhancements when compared with the original Tamagotchi. Higher quality screen displays and circuitry allow for smooth movement, sophisticated graphics, character movements, multiple virtual pet life events and more!

My neice wanted one for Christmas but I could not get in the shops anywhere. Had to be a silver one, I was relieved to find on Amazon and it was delivered in 3 days. Took all the work out of shopping for it. Seemed a little difficult to set up in the first instance, as all info needs to be entered and is rather a long process for an excited 9 year old who just 'wants to get on with it'

This toy is fantastic. My daughter got one for Christmas and I wanted one so much I had to get one for myself. My son then started having a paddy because he didn't have one, so we got one for him as well. We are now a household of Tamagotchi owners, apart from Dad, who really doesn't like games at all. Everybody should have a Tamagotchi - they are really good fun.

It doesn't tell me if it is the tamagotchi version 1 or 2 or if it can choose what to buy or anything I think that this description is bad.
