2 out of 5 stars cheap, plastic, a bit glitchy   September 7, 2006

I have just got this item. It's cheap and it's made in China. The only glitch I've found this to have is that sometimes the cursor/pointer moves two steps even when you press the directional button once. The display has no backlight. I should have guessed that I can't get a good quality product even if there's Carol Vorderman's name on it. Are we living in a world of ignorance and incompleteness?

5 out of 5 stars Nice affordable version   January 6, 2006

I was bought this Sudoku Game for Christmas and I haven't been able to put it down. Its a nice handheld size and easy to use. It is a very basic version and only has 750 puzzles on it but they could take me a very long time to get through. There is a button to scroll through the numbers to the one you want, You can turn the sound off if it starts to irritate and there is a solver button for if you get stuck on a number. When you've finished it will play music and display the time it took you, it also turns itself off after 5 mins if you want to put it down and you can save games like this then go back to them. Like all LCD games sometimes the light will play havoc on the screen but once you've used it a few times you get used to the display.

For its price, its good value.

5 out of 5 stars Totally Addictive!   January 4, 2006

I bought this as a present, but managed to get so addicted myself that I bought another one. There are three levels to choose from, it is easy to use, a good size and a timer showing you long it takes you to complete a grid. You can check your answers as you go along if you like and it is possible to repeat the same grid so you can have competitions with your family to see who can complete it quickest.

The only downside is that the fixed numbers are only identified by a dot next to the number and when you are trying to unpick a mistake they can sometimes be difficult to spot.

Lots of fun for complete beginners and experienced folks too!
