It works very well in my Palm March 5, 2006 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have a Palm Zire 31, which has a secondary function as an MP3 player, when you use an SD card as the memory to hold the songs. While I can't comment on the technical detail that some of the other reviewers have given, what I can say is that it lived up to expectations. It can't hold more than 2 - 3 CDs worth of music, but I knew that when I bought it, and it is, for me, just an added extra which I use when I have to use public transport rather than drive, so it just gets occasional use.The card has performed in every way exactly as I expected it to, as an MP3 memory. I can't comment on how it would be in a digital camera or another device. So cheap and old technology it might be, as another reviewer commented, but the quality it good and if that's the case, then surely cheap is actually an advantage? If you want to use an SD card the same way I do but have the same capacity as a small iPod, then you'll need to spend a fair bit more and get the 1Gb version of this, but if you just want to carry a couple of album's worth of music for "emergencies" then I can highly recommend it.
Great Little Card March 30, 2005 19 out of 20 found this review helpful
The Secure Digital 128MB is 46X read and 13X write (7MB/s & 2MB/s) which is faster than many of the other cards out there in the marketplace. You need these speeds for most digital still cameras or the time it will take to save your photos will be so long that it gets irritating. Despite its low price you can still save about 155 images on this card (or if you are an MPEG fan - some 49 minutes at high quality). Its made by Toshiba for American company Viking InterWorks.
Works Great May 5, 2004 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
This cards works great, although it takes quite a while to write to the card, it's playback & loading speeds are great. I use it with my Palm Tungsten E handheld to store MP3 tracks i've downloaded and it does the job fine. It also holds pictures, movies, and various other files great. Not bad for 21!
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID May 4, 2004 16 out of 26 found this review helpful
This card is slow and unreliable and fails time and time again. After looking on other sites I have found that MLC SD cards are low grade ,slow sd cards and everyone seems to have problems with either stright away or after a few weeks of use.MLC Means Multi Layer Cell and my advice to everyone is to stay away from these cards. They maybe cheap but if they don't work whats the point.!!!
Job Done January 19, 2004 19 out of 21 found this review helpful
Viking SD Card 128 mB I bought this beauty to use with my Palm T3. It works a treat. I've read somewhere that this is just a rebranded Toshiba product. It's fairly quick.. better than the 256mB card.... and this is a good price too!I use this to play MP3s and it can hold about 8 albums worth easily. I'd definately recommend the Viking memory, it's stable, fast and affordable. In fact, I think I'll buy another!
