2 out of 5 stars Unless you're into asymmetric cords...   April 22, 2008

... and super long ones, forget about it!

So, the cord is split and the right headphone cord is much longer than the left; the main cord itself is so short that you will not be able to have the iPod in your jeans' pocket... unless, of course, you use the super long extension cord... which you may then want to wrap around the iPod making it... yeap, you guessed it: bulky! The extension also makes the cord heavier than strickly necessary (as you then have the two joining plugs). The result is that they often get caught and, on occasion, even pop out.

How Panasonic can come up with such an idiot system is beyond me. But you've seen the other reviews and the buyers did like them. Call me fickle, but I find them useless.

As others have no doubt found, normal in-ear headphones (such as those provided by Apple) are quite useless. They never fit in your ear, but most irritating of all is that they leek noise like nobody's business!

Determined not to be one of those idiots on the Tube, who feel it necessary to share their, often awful, music with the entire carriage and also feeling I had grown out of using my huge Technics DJ'ing headphones in public, I decided 'Buds' were the way ahead.

These are extremely good! I purchased on the recommendation of both a friend who owns them and one of the reviews on this very site and I'm glad I did. They're both extremely comfortable and the sound is crystal.

Put simply, buy them.

5 out of 5 stars Great headphones but burn them in!   November 2, 2007

I can't wear conventional headphones. They just keep falling out. Plus, when held in by hand they sound so much better. Consequently I decided to buy some of these.

I was surprised at first how much treble there was in their sound and thought I had made a big mistake. For a while I only used them when I really needed to, as I have several other sets. However, over time the sound has gotten better and better and now I can barely use anything else. Every other set sounds muffled compared with these. Plus, the bass is now excellent after some use and the soundstage when watching movies or listening to music is awesome.

Definitely a good buy. Shure and Sony do some similar headphones, haven't tried those but you can't go wrong with these.

very good quality headphones reduces that annoying tinny sound greatly along with a certain degree of background noise cancelation. however recently i lost the silicon earpiece and none of the other sizes fit my ear and cant find replacements anywhere
