Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
With the Freecom DVB-T USB Stick, you can watch and record Freeview digital TV and Radio on your computer without monthly subscription. The Freecom DVB-T USB stick is characterized by amazing compact dimensions of only 28 x 15 x 86 mm and an ultra-light weight of 25 grams. This minute digital receiver is therefore perfect for mobile, cordless TV and radio reception. The only equipment required is a laptop or desktop with a USB 2.0 port. An IEC connector is also included to connect to a normal aerial to get better signal. The Freecom DVB-T USB stick offers much more besides convincingly sharp picture quality; in combination with the hard disk, it becomes a digital video recorder. In this case the user has the choice between "live" recording and convenient programming by means of the timer function. This is where the EPG comes into its own, which lists the complete TV schedule of all broadcasters, and provides brief descriptions of the individual programmes. 1 out of 5 stars DVB-T USB Stick   April 22, 2008

I have tried this on two computers in two areas and can get no signal at all. It says use an outside arial. The whole point of it is that it should be portable! It is rubbish. I cannot even be bothered to return it. It is not worth one star.

2 out of 5 stars Signal   February 24, 2008

If I could get a signal then it would be great. But I didn't.
The manual says they recommend a aerial on top of a house, so then why do they send a piddly little aerial that they do?
Also the program you install to use it is huge and takes ages just to load up.

5 out of 5 stars Works great   January 27, 2008

Having read the reviews of this I had a few concerns about it but it works great. I used a connection to a good outside aerial and had it all up and running perfectly in five minutes or so with 65 channels. I have Vista on my PC and there were no compatibility problems. It's easy to operate and at the 22 I paid it's great value.

1 out of 5 stars Does not deliver what you think.   January 26, 2008

The idea is that you buy this, attach the USB, attach the little aerial, install the driver & software, and of you go...you have digital tv on your computer. right? WRONG!

If you really believe you have a super strong signal then great, but I live in Central London and have tried to use the roof aerial and it still won't pick up any channels, let alone using the little aerial they provide. Alot of people have already mentioned this so I won't go on and on...
