a rip off, yet we still buy them March 12, 2008 yep, these are a rip off, they should come in packs of 6 in a specific size as you know what size your ears are after you bout the headphones in the first place and they came with a pair of each size to try.
However, these are cheaper than Shure equivalents, then again Sony is not in the same price bracket as Shure either. It's really annoying paying 4 per piece of usable rubber (for my ears) yet, these headphones (phontopias) are really good for the money, I just better look after the rubbers better!
Total rip off. February 28, 2008 As other reviewers have stated, why do I have to buy three pairs of these silicon earbuds when I only need medium. I need one medium earbud as I lost one and the small and large are useless to me.
I then saw one seller selling a set for 2.50. 'Great' I thought except they are charging 4.50 postage. 4.50 for an item that doesn't weigh anything? It would not cost above 1 to post this item within the UK.
I'm totally annoyed by this blatant rip off as I'll have to buy a set or I'm wasting some great headphones but I won't be buying Sony headphones again in the future.

Use a TINY blob of superglue and make sure your originals dont fall off in the first place!
Do the job but DISGUSTINGLY OVERPRICED December 14, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
You can buy these on the high street for 5 but, as other reviewers state, you will only use one of the sizes (small, medium or large). Why do Sony not offer three pairs of buds in a single size instead of one pair in each size?
Because they make more money doing it this way. Simple as that. And absolutely disgusting, considering how cheap they must be to make. The only plus side is that even at 6-8, buying these is cheaper than buying new headphones but when my current 'phones wear out I'm not replacing them with Sony...
If anyone has a pair of mediums they don't need, I'll happily swap for a pair of small or large!
Dont buy these, here's another idea! October 30, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Instead of buying these STUPIDLYL priced bits of rubber... do what im gonna do and pay about a fiver for a used pair of headphones... that way you get all the extra bits AND an extra pair of headphones, even if the headphones are a bit knackered... you still get the rubber bit you were after of a used seller AND the other bits n bobs that come with the pack.
They know how to rob you do sony!
Cheers
Chris
