Product Description Fuji has extended its range of A Series' digital cameras even further with a high-performance model designed for photographers of all levels: the FinePix A820! Equipped with an impressive 8-million pixel HR Super CCD sensor and a 4x optical zoom, the FinePix A820 incorporates "real photo" technology, which combines the capacities of the sensor with a high sensitivity of 800 ISO for great results each and every time, even in low lighting conditions. A stabiliser mode eliminates the effects of blur for increased quality. Plus, in order to improve your photos, the Intelligent Flash system analyses the shot-taking conditions and adapts the camera's functions to best suit them. The FinePix A820 also comes with a large2.5" TFT screen, which lets you preview your shot before taking it. What's more, the IrSimple wireless transmission system allows you to share your work via a compatible device (another FinePix A820, mobile telephone or even a printer) wirelessly!Simple yet high-performance, the FinePix A820 is the wise choice for novice and experiencedphotographers alike!

excellent camera February 26, 2008 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
had a kodak digital camera and didn't really use it a lot because it was so complicated to operate. decided to purchase a new camera, and chose this one. haven't been disappointed at all. excellent quality pictures and easy to use. the only fault with this camera i think for the price it should come with a case, but all in all an excellent little machine.!!!
Great price January 15, 2008 29 out of 29 found this review helpful
I was really into photography in my teens/twenties possessing SLR's by Pentax, Nikon and Canon. I resisted the digital technology because of time lapse and loss of definition. The addition of a family changed my mind anf the ability to take/delete photos/retake and print as many copies as wanted with the addition of zoom lenses and increase pixels has won me over. Like the other reviewer I also possess the 6500 but it is larger and more cumbersome. I would also agree that you cannot be quite sure ofthe definition at times and I have had pictures that have been blurred when they did not appear so on the LCD display. Having said that this is a wonderful compact that you can take anywhere with a decent optical zoom. I also can encourage my seven year-olds to use it and they are enjoying photography. If you want the equivalent of a SLR then go for the 6500 but if you want a good compact at a great price then you cannot beat this camera. Since writing this review have now upgraded to the 920 which has better definition and a larger LCd (slightly) andhave given the 820 to my kids.
FujiFinepix A820, so so December 26, 2007 23 out of 34 found this review helpful
I bought the finepix A820 hoping to get a good point and shoot camera that I could take about in my bag or pocket instead of lumbering my big Finepix S6500fd around which was not practical. I was very pleased with the size and weight. It was also very well laid out and easy to follow. The LCD screen was huge for a small camera and explanatory messages would appear every time you changed the mode (of which there are ample to choose from for a simple camera.
The only downside was that the images on the LCD are never clear enough to tell if you've taken a good shot or not (a bit grainy!). As I have not downloaded any yet I am hoping that once on computer things will work out fine, in which case the camera would have been a good buy. Otherwise I may be a little disappointed.
