We have been using this bin for three years with no problem what so ever Will recommend. Will take any bin bags and never leaked any smell.
 Complete waste of money June 21, 2008
Looks great but totally useless if you want to do any more than look at it. It has been a constant source of frustration with the lid and pedal mechanism regularly jamming and falling apart. I shall be steering well clear of Brabantia products in the future.

Great price & looks good in our new kitchen! First one arrived, but was dented, replacement arrived before the original was collected - Amazon as efficient as always, thankyou!

I have had this bin for 5 years now. It is a very good size bin, for 1 or 2 people is all you really need. Looks smart in the kitchen and very practical (opening with a pedal) when you have your hands busy holding a tray or plate. So overall very pleased. This product looses one star, only because after the 5 years I have had it it is now stained and not looking so great, but I guess it might be time to buy a new one. I do recommend this product.
