These lens are indeed great for taking temperature... but at a price! Amazon price may be the cheaper, it still a lot if your baby is sick and you have to monitor the temperature every other hour, having to replace the filter every time.For me, these filters do the job very well, but remember to pile up plenty. Otherwise you'll have to throw the thermometer the day they stop selling the filters!
I still use the old "traditional" thermometer from time to time, partly for this reason.
No problem with the filter, only wish they would come in packs of 200 for that price!

Good product, basically a 'condom' for the lens on the thermometer, which stops wax and possible infectious stuff from being transferred to different people, and keeps it hygenic for you too.
Good value, best price around is on here, and the packs last for ages, as you dont need a new one each time if it is only for you, just a wipe with a tissue!
Hope this helps, a definate buy!
