I've always had trouble shaving as it irritates my legs too much and found waxing a bit messy, so I'd been looking into buying an epilator. After reading the reviews online and hearing horror stories of how much these things hurt, I decided to give it a go anyway. At first I was quite scared by how loud the epilator is, but to be honest this is the only down side. I tried the starter head first, but quickly swapped to the normal head to speed things up a bit.
Overall, it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. There is a bit of discomfort at first, and afterwards a slight burning sensation, but nothing worse than waxing, in fact I thought it was less painful than waxing. I'd definitely recommend this to friends and family, and at around 50 pounds it's a bargain!

I never used an epilator before but I was a long-time waxer and getting sick of the mess/cost associated with the process. I figured the pain couldn't be too much worse with an epilator and I would still get the longer lasting results. I felt absolutely no pain at all on my legs with the normal head on full speed even the first time I used it, just the sensation of the rollers on my leg. I could feel a bit of pulling on my underarms, but nothing that could be described as "painful", and it was much easier than attempting to wax them because you don't need a third hand to pull the skin taught. This is easily one of my best purchases. I can't recommend it enough.

Excellent product, i highly reccommend it to anyone, even first time users of epilators. There is some slight redness and blotchyness after use, however this quickly goes down after moisturisation. Not nearly as painful as commonly thought!
