It is pretty good, does what it says, but the main caveats i want to throw out are these; the non-stick coating seemed to be poor-wearing, and the eveness of toasting isnt as good on the edges as the middle, or if you are doing quite chunky sandwiches it can struggle to cook all the way through without over-toasting the bread/bun/etc.

Good while it lasted, but now i'm searching for a replacement after only 7-8 months.

I'm not a kitchen gadget person at all, but thought this would be a good buy. I can honestly say I don't regret it for one moment!!
My first attempt was making brie, and roasted vegetable toasted paninis - they were great - just like food from a bistro (without the cost!) I've also made the run-of-the-mill toasted cheese sandwiches just using ordinary bread - they were yummy too! It's exceptionally easy to clean, totally unlike the old style triangular-toastie type machines.

I've just bought my parents one for christmas and may order one for my daughter and her friends to use at Uni. A perfect gift! Go on treat yourselves!!

I bought this on the recommendation of a friend and I am so glad I did.

Get some bread and chuck in some cheese and bacon and then put it in this.

10 minutes later you have the best toastie ever!

Very very strongly recommended and great quality.

The Breville TR25 Cafe Style Sandwich Press and Grill Toaster is the next best thing to an actual industrial toaster, in fact my local deli/sandwich shop uses one of these. It is ideal for using at home or in a small cafe, and its compact size means that you can take it with you if you go away. It is easy to use, easy to clean and can be easily stored away in a cupboard. The indicator light lets you know when it is ready to use and when your sandwich should be ready. I had been trying to buy a toaster like this one for the last 5 years, ever since I had the nicest toasted doorstep sandwich at my local pub in Dublin. But until now, these types of sandwich toasters had only been available to restaurants and other food industries. Now that I have one I use it all the time, for a quick bite to eat or even an evening sandwich. And the great thing is that because it has a floating hinge top plate I don't have to use sliced bread, like I had to with other sandwich toasters. With the Breville TR25 Cafe Style Sandwich Press and Grill Toaster I can use any type of bread that I like, like Focaccia, Ciabatta and French breads. So I can be adventurous and try lots of different fillings in lots of different types of bread. It puts a whole new meaning to the words Toasted Sandwich.
