The timer stopped working pretty soon after we bought it (we got it from so far away a store that we didn't bother to return). So we have to use the cancel button and monitor toasting progress carefully. And yes, all the other reviewers are correct - even small bread needs turning upside down and retoasting, otherwise you end up with one uncooked end. Won't be buying Tefal again.

Like other buyers I have had no satisfaction with this toaster. Although it looks nice, the toasting facility is very poor.

I agree with the other reviewers, I have to turn upside down and around to get an even toastation. (I mean the slice, not me personally.)
Not satisfacory.
But it sure does look pertty.

This toaster looks very stylish and is a nice shape .
The main problem I find is that my usual bread -Warburtons-doesnt fit properly and it initially pops up when the bread is only slightly toasted .I then have to turn the bread over and re-toast it .This means you need to be careful that you dont "overcook" the bread .

I hate the dry, powdery toast you get from most toasters. This one toasts faster than most so the outside of your slice is brown and crunchy while the inside stays moist. This is the only machine I've found that does this properly so I'm prepared to put up with its one fault: it does have slightly shallow slots and sometimes I have to turn a slice over and give it another few seconds on the "reheat" setting to deal with a missed bit. It's not a problem!
