This is the only corkscrew I have ever been able to use. I am now 68 and arthritic. The slight effort required is well within my capabilities, and I have to hide it from guests as attempts have been made to steal it! This item was given to me several years ago by friends in France, who immediately regretted parting with it. After constant use, the outer handle has cracked and I am buying a replacement. Any other corkscrew given to me over the years has been promptly presented to the nearest charity shop.
