Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Very expensive for what it does   May 18, 2008

I was very dissapointed in this item. Friends had a solar powered fountain which was very good, and would work with even partial sunlight. This particular solar panel needs full sunlight to operate the fountain, which would be fine somewhere near the Equator but is distinctly challenged in my London back garden. It barely manages a few inches even in full sunlight. The previous reviewer says that the pump reached up to 10 inches but mine has reached a maximum of 5 inches so far. It's a shame because I have a small patio garden and it seemed like such fun to add a small water feature without all the complication of connecting it to a mains supply.

The assembly instructions, by the way, leave a lot to be desired.

3 out of 5 stars A bit expensive and dont expect gushing fountains!   April 14, 2008

This is quite a SMALL pump, it is only the size of a packet of fags, but the solar panel is about 6 inches square and it manages to create a little fountain of about 8-10 inches in sunlight. I bought it just to move the water a bit in our pond which is 300 yards from the house, but I think I would have been disappointed if I had wanted it as a decorative feature.
