Good idea but don't be fooled into thinking it is a firewall. October 6, 2008 This is not a firewall nor is it any form of virus protection; it is however a sandbox for your browser allowing you to browse safe in the knowledge your personal data is safe. This is achieved by operating in a virtulized enviroment.
The new release of Internet Explorer, version 8 will include this feature as well as an identity anonomiser; so is this product going to last long.
You would be much better served by using a fully fledged anti-virus package and firewall, such as OneCare (Windows Live OneCare 2.0, 3 User License (PC)) to provide the level of protection needed. However this does add that little extra for those not wanting to upgrade to IE8.
Not like Zone Alarm Firewall September 25, 2008 Screwed my system - thank you very much!! Not welcome! I went to Kaspersky for total system protection.
An essential extra September 19, 2008 This is an essential add-on to your normal internet security. It works on the basis that it challenges you when there is a potential threat. It seems to run in the background with minimal system overhead.
Good addition to current internet security September 15, 2008 This product is as other reviewers mentioned designed to compliment your current internet security. You can upgrade for a year which you probably will need as it's always a good idea to keep your security as up to date as possible. As a paid product compared to the famous free ZoneAlarm, this does a good job of cloning your PC for protection which allows attacks to harmlessly bounce off your clone instead of your actual computer. It does however use up a little more system resources that I had expected so I suggest that you have a dual core or quad core computer. All in all a good addition to security of your PC.
Good concept September 7, 2008 It installs fine with no issues - which is good. The update to latest version was also simple but it did need a reboot. I like the fact it creates a virtual environment and keeps it away from your own PC so any 'nasties' are kept separate from your main operating system.
It does not appear to be processor intensive which is always positive.
Overall, is it worth it? if you have a good firewall and good antivirus then you have to ascertain how much extra protection you may need.
