The coverage of the central areas is very poor. Many minor roads are not named but these are essential when on a walk. I got lost several times and had to rely on the map in the Blue Guide. If this problem were fixed I would have given five stars.

This map gives a good overview of central Rome, showing the location of main sites and is a useful guide for finding your way around. The detail though is not so good due to the small scale of the map, with only main streets shown in certain areas- unfortunately it is in those areas where you really need a map to find what you're looking for! In these situations I would recommend a guidebook with a more detailed map such as Blue Guide or Lonely Planet (but the latter with some reservations). The flexi-map though is handier and slips nicely into a jacket pocket. I would certainly recommend taking it.
