The Cure meets ELO December 27, 2007 I love this track! I loved the last single! I love 'The Trick To Life' CD! What more can I say!
Itunes December 25, 2007 Would it not simply be easier to buy this song off Itunes? That's what i did! ^^ I love thissong so much and i am planning to the album quite soon! They have some great songs as well as cathcy lyrics! Well worth buying!
Mr A...Mr Rip off? Who can tell? October 30, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The second I heard this - not even knowing it was by The Hoosiers - I just found it laughable that it had blatantly been copied from ELO's Mr Blue Sky. They've taken a brilliantly fantastic song, shoved it into the Hoosier blender and tried to produce what they're obviously trying to pass off as an original song. Just listen to the pacing of it, then the chorus, then the title....it just screams 'we want to sound like this song' when I listen to it. So frustrating because evidently they're more than capable of creating something original! There's nothing wrong with being inspired, but this is just a copy with a few different lyrics and chords.
So catchy it would make Cathy Dennis spit with jealousy... October 20, 2007 I think I was in a extremely small minority when I say that I absolutely detested the Hoosiers. I thought "Worried About Ray" was the most frightfully annoying single of the year and that they were destined to become much hated by me. Until I heard this song that is. I was surprised to hear that it was by them and I have now warmed to them.
There are a number of reasons why this song, for me, is more appealing than "Worried About Ray" - it's got some of the best ad libs and falsettos that you'd only find in this kooky, quirky type of pop music. It's got a great hook that doesn't get too repetitive or annoying (yes, the Automatic, I'm looking at you), and perhaps more importantly, it's so damn catchy that it'd make Cathy Dennis spit with jealousy. I might just be persuaded to get the album now.
Definitly ELO stuff, which is GREAT! October 11, 2007 This is an awesome tune and the first time I heard it, I thought ELO, as it does, as the reviewer before me said, sound a bit like Mr. Blue Sky, but ELO are a very good band and guess what, so are the Hoosiers, and if they have a bit of ELO in them, then good, because Good Bye Mr.A is a fantastic single, please buy!!
