Please, Please buy this. This is a masterwork of genius. Never have I heard someone with such a deep understanding of what music should be. Jorge is a adpetly at home in so many styles. "America do Norte" and "Trabalhador" are both nods to the influence of North American percussion, both styles fitted effortless into the Jorge plan - sprightly, melodic - this man can make a violin sound funky. "Burguesinha" is a beautiful pop-samba - Jorge's understanding of the transecendent chanted chorus in evidence. This track will have you humming along, tapping your toes. My favourite track is the show-stoppingly brilliant "Mina do Condominio" - the way the lyrics just patter around the passionate chorus with that beautiful mandolin - one of the great tracks you're likely to hear. The change in styles are effortless but so effective. "So no chat," is a brilliant slice of Brazilian rock. "Seu Olhar," stands out - a beautifully atmospheric melody.
Jorge has confirmed his status as perhaps Brazil's premier artist of the moment with this tour de force of music. Buy it
