A Great Game September 3, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Canis Canem Edit is a great game different to the other rockstar games but still great. You get to bully kids which is fun, the mini games are great because you get to do wrestling, doge ball and others great one's. Some lessons are great like p.e, shop but some make the game a bit boring like, english, art, science. But over all a great game!

WELCOME TO BULLWORTH! Tired of playing Harry Potter, pick up your controller and play Bully. Bully takes gaming to a whole different level as you play as Jimmy Hopkins, a kid left at Bullworth Academy by his mother and step father. He soon realizes that upon his arrival, he sparked a chain of events that would lead him through the very strange town of Bullworth, New England (FICTIONAL). With an assortment of mini-games, such as classes, arcade games, and side missions that could earn you money or respect; missions that bring you through Bullworth Academy and the town of; and interactions with characters that could make you friends or enemies. You will be able to go through regular classes and get and interim report after every class. If you fail, you can do that assignment over again. Bully also includes many different weapons including, Slingshot, stink bombs, marbles used for tripping people, and itching powder which is fairly self explanatory. The game follows a storyline going from Jimmy's first day to last and the fights, riddles, and problems Jimmy may face. Bully also has a behavior system which includes a trouble meter. The trouble meter is separated into 4 to 5 lines, the first two lines are mild to medium trouble, the other two to three lines are High trouble. If you are in the first few lines, you will get caught by the prefects (hall monitors) or teachers, you will be able to get away. If you are in the higher trouble sections, it is troublesome to get away usually leading to inevitable capture and being taken to the principals office. Different infractions judge your the principal's action taken. You may get detention. Depending on the season, you will either have to Shovel snow or mow the lawn in front of "Harrington House." Besides the many different Age and style groups Bullworth has to offer, the adventure and side missions are what really make the game. Whether you want to go to the Billy Cranes travel-ling Circus and ride the rides, or just take a swim in the lake around Bullworth, the adventure, scenery and environment make this game worth every penny, no bull!
Not on its own! August 3, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have read several reviews on here tha say 'not as good as gta' well realistically it was never going to be so - few games are!
Now I must admit that I did love this but I played it at the same time as GRAW and Digital Devil Saga, so I found it a refreshing amusing break from the serious gameplay.
Granted its childish and not particually challanging but it is refreshing, typical rock star humour and an innovative storyline keep you involved enough to want to play to 100%.
I am sure if I had just sat down and played this game on its own I would have been bored but it is a good game and a welcome break from franchises.

Looking for an addictive game packed with action? CANIS CANEM EDIT IS HERE I have only just completed this game! It took me months! (about 3 overall) Yet, still i do not stop playing it!!! It is a surprisingly well structured and exciting game which will never lose its fun!!!
The game is a game of choices: You can attend your lessons and try to get good grades, or you can skive off them and explore the city of bullworth and your school and aquire objects, speak to people, make friends, collect items, start missions, take part in races and challenges and earn money which you can use to buy clothes and get haircuts which can change that chav you start out as into whatever you want...eg: punk, grunger, goth, greaser, townie, nerd, preppie, jock...etc! There is so much to do! This game is almost perfect! except for one minor thing.....................................................................you pass out at 1/2 past 2 unless you go to sleep!
As Jimmy Hopkins, you have many abilities which include: fighting moves (kicking, punching, grabbing, shoving), insults and verbal abuse, bullying techniques (stuffing pupils heads into toilets and flushing them, throwing pupils into bins, locking them into lockers, spitting on ones hand and wiping it on a pupils face)...etc!!! etc!!! There are loads of others which you can find out for yourself, if you have this game!
Throughout the games, either from missions, lessons or challenges or just collecting, you will aquire many items and weapons such as: Spud gun, bottle rocket gun, slingshot 1 and 2, rubberband ball, camera black and white, camera panoramic, stink bombs, itching powder...and many others!!!
Just because you have all these abilities and weapons, it doesn't neccessarily mean that you have to be a bully. In this game you can protect the victims of bullying and basically...bully the bullies! Or you an stay out of trouble completely by just ride around the town on one of your bmxs, skateboards or your mopeds! Altenatively, get a job or help out other people or even take photos!
Other problems of the game are: Prefects, police, teachers and adults can get you busted easily if you've been very bad. When you get busted, apart from your skateboard, slingshot, rubber band ball, and camera all your weapons get confiscated!
A few more things; From challenges,, you will unlock other sleeping and saving locations so you don't just have to go in your dormitary. And you can go into shops, go to the barbers and enter some buildings in this game and you can get friens, enemies and...tattoos!
FASCINATINGLY FANTASTICALLY SUPERBLY AMAZINGLY BRILLIANTLY GREAT GAME!!!
Fun for anyone, no matter what genre of game they like!!!
An almost perfect buy! 9.99/10
Thanks for reading my review, I hope you found it helpful.

"This hopefully will be just the beginning........." July 17, 2007 CCE is really orginal, the most orginal i've ever played, but it's also the easiest and it has the shortest lifespan. The missions are amazing and there are a fair few, but you expect the game to drag on after you help the seperate cliques of,jocks, greasers, geeks and the poncy rich kids but it dosn't it justs ends abruptly, with the worst ending ever, also the last level takes a minute a 3 year old could do it. You also can get a scooter right at the end but i hardly got time to use as the game ended so quickly.
Rockstar have come up with a great concept but isn't quite executed aswell as it could have been. Hopefully they build on this with a great sequel that is as challenging as the GTA's. If they do it will probably be the best game ever. A good weeks worth of fun playing that will have you hooked but believe me once you complete it theres nothing to do and the ending will shock you at how easy it is.
