It works.......so far July 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Like many others I have been plagued by neighbours cats fouling my vegetable beds. I have six deep beds and, unless they are heavily planted and the growth is substantial, they are used by the cats. I have installed the Big Cheese and so far it has been successful. I have had two beds with bare, freshly turned earth left untouched for three weeks! Before, when I had put a tent of chicken wire over the beds a cat had dropped it's poo through the wire. My only criticism is that the switch to turn it off, for battery saving, is awkwardly located.
Rubbish! June 9, 2008 It worked for a week or so and now the cats don't care. Finally I was able to keep the cats away by always keeping my grass wet.
peace of mind May 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have owned one of these for a blissfull four weeks, and after 9 years of cleaning other peoples cat's mess from my garden i am at last stress free, not one cat mess since i installed the big cheese. I was just about ready to sit up all night with an air riffle thats how bad i was feeling i had tried everything, don't delay these things really do work and the nightmare stops.
Moggie 1 - Big Cheese 0 May 23, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Got my Cat Repeller out of the box ASAP when it arrived. Installed it on the veg patch to protect my new beans etc. Next door neighbour's cat walked up to it, sat down and had a kip. The moggie didn't seem at all bothered by the Repeller and I had to go down the garden to check it was working. I'd suggest that this product isn't as powerful or as effective as some other reviewers suggest. Either that or the cat next door is smarter (and more hard of hearing) than I think!
Limited Success May 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have tried the Lion Roar without success so I thought I'd give the Cat Repeller a go as opposed to the more expensive water scarecrow option.
It's easy to set up and so far the battery has lasted three months but make sure to turn it off if your in the garden so not to waste the battery.
Our neighbours cat had two favourite spots in our garden so we aimed the repeller there. We seemed to have initial success but it has returned and marked the spot once in three months which is a great improvement.
However the cat has found a route around the detector and although it has not left us with any unwanted gifts in the garden it is still a nuisance.
The only thing it definately doesn't like is a good soaking so if it persists then I think the Water Scarecrow will be the next step.
