4 out of 5 stars Packs a Punch   December 14, 2004

This is a very convenient way to grill.
The machine is easy to use and quick. It is also very simple to clean though it should be well-cleaned after each use.
The only thing I've not had success cooking on it was fish.
However, this is a superb product and well worth purchasing.
Reccomended.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent and faster than a conventional grill   November 29, 2004

I love this grill, we use it everyday cooking such things as burgers, sausages, fillet, chicken, tuna steaks, scallops, mushrooms, peppers...just about everything really. We've had it 2 years now and I must admit the non stick seems to be coming off a little in places but it still has a lot of wear to go before rendering it useless. When we tried Sainsbury's 'Be Good To Yourself' bacon, that didn't seem to come out as nice as a normal grill, I like it crispy and it seemed a bit rubbery. Although nearly everything is as good on a conventional grill, I love the speed of cooking with this grill (a big plus for me and the main reason for giving it 5 stars) as both sides are cooked at once and therefore halving the normal cooking time. Once ours gives up the ghost, we won't hesitate to replace it.

1 out of 5 stars A normal grill is much better   September 6, 2004

The fact I went and bought one of these things must be a testament to the power if clever marketing. These oversized sandwich toasters offer absolutely no advantage over a bog standard grill on a cooker which also drains the excess grease from meat products by virtue of a standard wire mesh. The Foreman grill alternatively relies upon a sloped teflon coated grill to make the grease run towards a decidedly flimsy and ultra cheap long boat shaped plastic tray which is slid loosely under the bottom end of the grooved sloap. Alarmingly given the health and safety implications of having an unsecured light weight plastic tray full of hot greasy oil sitting around unsecured like an accident waiting to happen this tray comes with no form of clip to stop children or clumsy adults pets etc from tipping it over themselves (i wonder how many folks have scolded themselves with this singularly carelesly designed device)Also these very shallow trays are just about deep enough to barely contain the oil from a single packet of sausages before becoming worryingly full.

Because the Foreman grill relies on a pronounced slope to drain the oil it is qiute a challenge to keep sausages or other hot greasy meat products from rolling or sliding off onto the counter or floor, which is hardly an ideal situation hygene or health and safety wise.

My advice is dont waste your money that old fashioned grill on your cooker is a much better safer and easier way of cooking and just as healthy.

Regards.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful & So Easy To Use!   March 26, 2004

It's not often that I get excited about kitchen appliances, but this one really is the business. We grill most stuff on here, pork, chicken, beef, bacon, sausages etc etc etc . It is so good, and watching all the fat and gunk run into the tray is so satisfying. We used to eat all that fat!

It cooks to perfection, is very easy to use and to clean and is very much recommended for families of all sizes. We have a grill on the cooker, but don't use it much now we have the George Foreman.

If you don't have one, then your life is ot complete(!)

5 out of 5 stars Super Product you'll never use your cooker again!   December 23, 2003

I bought this after much thought as i have no grill in my cooker! I basically use it on a daily basis, it cooks beautifully. Great for both meat, fish and of course veg. You will be shocked at the fat that comes off a sausage!! Easy to clean and a forthwhile buy.
