Broke down after 2 months usage March 3, 2008 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
Perplexed when this simply stopped working after 2 months: unfortunately I hadn't kept the warranty so just put it down to experience. I had been extremely impressed with the product (while it was working!) so bought another juicer when it was in the amazon sale. Currently the second juicer is still working after 1 months use.
Great looking, sturdy piece of kit! February 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
LOVE this.
It impressively obliterates apples and carrots also looks very smart and industrial indeed; it's a sturdy bit of kit. The pulp is surprisingly dry, the jug contains the juice nicely with no mess and the foam filter is simple but efficient. Thought it'd all be a pain to wash and clean but in the few goes I've had so far I've scooped as much as I can out and the rest has rinsed away with ease after a scrub with the little brush provided.
As it is preferable to drink juices immediately/as soon as possible, I'm still wondering whether this somewhat large gadget really is necessary for me + one other to have a quick juice or two a day (probably not) BUT the reviews pointed me this way, as did the way it looks and the fact it is easy to clean does score points. If Phillips did a smaller version of exactly this model, I'd have bought it as there's probably capacity to juice for a football team in two rounds!
I'm about to hit supermarket to stock up on ingredients for some of Jason Vale's intriguing recipes. Can brussell sprouts and beetroots in juices really be nice?
A good price, but... February 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Excellent juicer.
Seems to squeeze just about every drop of juice out of whatever you put into the chute.
Easy to clean - a real bonus.
Looks nice on the kitchen side (in keeping with the current vogue for all kitchen things to have a brushed aluminium look to them).
A very good price here on Amazon, but until 3rd March 2008 this juicer is on sale at Argos for two pence short of 50!!!
If you're reading this after 3rd March, sorry.
Buy One! February 2, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've had mine for over 4 weeks now and I've used it every day. It's easy to use, easy to clean and makes great juice. Carton juice doesn't taste the same anymore. Don't be put off by the thought of fiddly bits to clean. There aren't any. I rinse mine straight after use and clean the filter with the soft brush that's included. I've since splashed out on the matching blender and it makes great smoothies. Just buy one you'll love it!

this is my 3rd juicer and definetely the best so far. before buying i researched extensively and i must say i do not regret byuing the phillips aluminium juicer. you get so much more juice than with my previous ones and it is quite easy to handle and is no problem to dis-/assemble. you can easily clean it, too.the only downside i would seay is that it frothes quite a bit, but that is acceptable. all in all good value for money and it looks quite nice, too. highly recommended!!!
