Nothing lifts and tightens the entire body the way Callanetics does...and believe me, living in California, I've tried just about everything. Not only are these exercises really effective (my "thunder thighs" have completely reduced), I like the fact that they're also quite safe. I have bad knees from teaching ballroom dancing in high heels and I can still do this entire program. Don't listen to anyone who says this tape is boring. Looking and feeling fabulous is NOT boring!

This video looks boring and is outdated. I won't argue with that. But what I want in an exercise program is something that works. And callanatics works! If you do the exercises correctly (give yourself time to learn and SLOWLY push your limits!!), you will find that this is the most effective regime you will encounter. And this comes from someone who used to spend 2 hours in the gym every day looking for results only callanatics has been able to provide. If you don't see results soon, you're doing something wrong. In that case the beginning video might help or (ideally) take a few lessons at a callanetics center. To sum up: there are a lot of videos out there that are more pleasing to the eye, but this one gives results fast. And that is all I want.

i have just purchased two callanetics video's as i have been doing these exercises from the book. if you want a fabulous firm toned body in a short space of time these exercise's will do just that. they are a little hard to begin with but once you become stronger you can do them with ease. i try to do 2x3 times a week but once a week is enough, after just four hours work(4 days) i had lost 2 inches from my waist 11/2 inches off my hips and 1 inch of bust so as you can see after many more hours i will have a firm slim figure without stepping in to a gym ps you don't need to diet either i still have choc and junk food they REALLY do work.

I was really looking forward to doing this video because I don't have time to the gym anymore. I have to say however that it was the worst excercise video I have ever seen. It was old fashioned, boring and all the people involved looked anorexic. The teacher was 47 but looked about sixty. It really put me off. I sent it straight back again and didn't even try it once. Just looking at it made me yawn. I think you get the idea. Please don't waste your money on this video. I would strongly recommend Suzanne Coxs' video's, They are amazing.

I found the exercises very, very difficult the first time I tried them - I had been sporty for 30 years at this point too! I decided to try just the second time - I was hooked. I would do the exercises, have a bath and go to bed, when I awoke in the morning, I found I felt so good!I would recommend this video to anyone, you do the exercises at your own pace and only push as far as you can go and that is good enough for me! The benefits, I have found, include increased agility, greater strength , a VAST increase in energy and body toning that is a pleasure to see. I have always been used to strenuous activies ie athletics, aerobics etc, but I believe in Callenetics totally, even though it is very different from anything that I have ever done before. If anyone is in two minds whether to try this sort of exercise or not, my advice would be - go for it - believe me, I have never felt so well.
