wow this film is the best disney film EVER made and even though i am almost 16 i could watch it over and over and over and over!! you get the picture!!!
i love it so much and its always been my favourite! i think sebastian is hilarious and flounder really is a guppy! hehe! ariel could be a role model you know!

My favourite Disney film of all time, and Im 15 years old, nearly 16. Ariel captured my imagination as soon I saw it. The story tells the tale of a beautiful 16 year old red haired mermaid who is fascinated by the human world above. Secretly she keeps a hidden trove in which she hides all of her human collection. Much to her Father's disgust, she dreams of one day becoming a human.
During a sea storm, a ship begins to sink and all of the crew manage to get to safety, apart from the young Prince Eric who nearly drowns. Ariel, in her curiosty swims above and finds Eric floating on the water. She rescues him and takes him onto the beach. It is here where she realises that she is in love with him. Eric awakes just in time to catch a glimpse of Ariel's beautfil face.
Eric starts a search through his Kingdom but cannot find her. Ariel decides to go to the evil witch Ursela where she trades her beautiful voice for a pair of legs. Ariel must kiss Eric within a few days, or she will turn back into a mermaid and belong to Ursela. But Ursela is only keen on helping so that she can control Ariel and finally become Queen with the King's magical trident. Once Ariel reaches the surface, Eric recognises her, but as she cannot sing, does not realize this is the girl who saved him. Its a white knuckle ride adventure where Ariel tries to convince Eric she is the one!!! BUY IT

This is my favourite film in the world and at 19 years old i am proud of the fact. This is a fantastic film that never dies. After you've been taken over by the film, get the soundtrack too it's all ace.

She loves the scene where the shark chase's the little mermaid & flounder and the scene where the crab leads the chef a merry dance before getting put on a starter plate. They get asked for over and over again....The sounds bring the whole place alive.

If you're learning a language, get this DVD! It has the European languages as voice overs, so you can learn while enjoying the Disney Magic! Even in English its a *great* film. My favourite language, however, is French!
