No problems October 6, 2008 Works perfectly, XP and Vista. No problems. Can't fault it. Easy install etc etc...
I would give it 5 stars if there was someone to store the cap. As it is, you need to try and not lose it when you have the stick plugged in! I can live with that... especailly for this price.
Don't pay any more when this will do the job better than some others I have had.
Worked great for a while, but now it keeps losing signal October 5, 2008 I was happy with the adapter for a while, the price was good, it didn't look so bad and it was easy to install. I've been using it for about three months and now the signal drops out at least every half hour
Perfect September 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I plugged it in, was asked for the CD and put it in. It connected with a strong signal and has worked on three different computers. I can't say the same for Netgear which I tried and returned.
Set Up Problems September 5, 2008 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
Initial setup seemed relatively straight forward as others have described. I tried the Sweex adaptor with and without a USB extension. Either way it was inconsistent in identifying the wireless hub. All appeared well though until I tried to connect and this simply resulted in nothing happening. I can't see any advice in the manual to overcome this. Looks like for me it will have to back and I'll try another make.
Great for Price - Bit Ugly though September 5, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I needed to replace an old PCI Belkin wireless card that always seemed to drop connection and not re-connect or sometimes not connect at all! I read the reviews on this one and thought it'd be perfect for me.
My computer is in a small corner on a floor below my router so when I first connected it the signal was OK-ish (2-3 bars) but the speed was VERY slow (kept timing out) - So I connected a 2 metre USB extension cable to it that I had lying around (3 on the net) so that I could put the USB dongle on the corner of my desk instead of hidden in the midst of all the wires behind the machine. This made a HUGE difference. My connection now says "Very Good" and I get great speeds and so far it hasn't dropped connection.
