 All in All good value for money product August 29, 2008
I had been looking for a new laptop for quite a long time before i bought this product. I am not a techie or not a person who will put the machine to the best of the tests, just a normal vivid user but then when i am using it, ease is the best thing i would want, hassle free and no waiting times.
I was chasing few other models ( on price comparison) for quite a long time and then one day when i saw what i was getting for just dishing out a few more than other cometitors I decided to get this one instantly. And I have not regretted that decision to one bit. Delivery was fast and safe as always from Amazon.
But the package was even more impressive took me couple of hours to get all my old softwares and programms to get running on this one (nothing heavy a few players and DJing softwares and few other bits). And with an overnight charge i started enjoying the speed and amazing quality of my brand new Viao Laptop (first viao).
The performace of both normal DVD, Inbuilt Cam, Speakers( although i hd to make a few changes to get the inbuilt speaker to work so that they can be audible) and The Bluray was amazing. I have tried the memory card reader and the USB ports , Lan port as well as the s-video out ports and all of them seem to work better than my last laptop.
The only thing i was let down with was the battery. Dies out in no time. Run a DVD and a full battery might get you through Half the movie. Or may be there could be a fault with my battery but I really dont have to carry the laptop around a lot hence its not a problem for me And battery is the only reason for one lost star.
But other than that a totally Value for money product. great Buy.

This laptop looks great and is very easy to use. Vista is pretty good at helping with any questions you have regarding any important tasks ie backing up your files and protecting your personal information. sorting out security problems is very simple Vista tells you what is wrong one click and most problems are sorted in minutes. I am very happy with this purchase, good specs and good value

This laptop is so good, especially the price. We have had it now for 2 months. The wireless feature is so strong. Reception is never poor. Laptop has all the feature with the addition of blu ray. When you buy this you get spiderman FREE on blu ray which can be great if you have kids

I can't praise this laptop enough really.... it has a great graphics card (for laptop) and plays all the games I enjoy playing on my desktop, perfect! I play through wireless with online games also, and it's pretty seamless.
I looked for a while at various laptops, and this really was the best buy going at the moment, for spec, and price.
For this price, I can really have my cake and eat it!...

I work with computers and am therefore confident when it comes to purchasing the technology. On that point this laptop packs a lot for the price. Blue-ray player gives it long shelf life since HD is dead and thus blue ray will become the standard. It plays call of Duty 4 with no problems at all, connects to my sony tv allowing me to use a 32 inch monitor and best of all the specifications on it rival todays computer. The graphics card is 256mb but can call upon a lot more memory from the system if required. Overall the computer scores a 4.6 on the Windows Vista rating system and with 5.6 being the highest, this laptop does well. There is a lot of preloaded software on board but removing it is straight forward with control panel.
