I purchased this game expecting to get a classic board game brought into the twenty-first century through the additional DVD included. I was sorely disappointed.
Firstly the game is no longer a murder mystery... it is now a mystery to solve who has stolen an item. What was wrong with the original plot?
Another disappointment was how complicated the game is. I was expecting the basic format of the traditional cluedo with an added bonus of the DVD disc, however more often than not the DVD just interupts when you are trying to progress through the board game. The DVD really slows the game down as players have to go close to the TV to look for clues through a secret magnifying glass.
Better off sticking to the original game... I wish I had!

I received Cluedo DVD as a birthday gift, and very excitedly set up a nice evening at home with friends to try it out... but after playing and waiting for 15 minutes expecting the inspector to come up on screen, he just never did. This may be the funnest game known to mankind, but i am unlikely to ever know about it. I am assuming that i have a faulty dvd, but as i am not the one who purchased the game, my returns and replacement options are slim to none. So buyer beware, the quality checks on Husbro's dvd games may not be up to scratch.

Wow!! I got this game for Christmas and I love it! At first I was a bit weary of the game after seeing other DVD remakes of games such as Trivial Pursuit which are pretty rubbish and nothing compared to the original. However, as soon as I played it, I was addicted! This version of the game is ten times better than ordinary Cluedo. As an alternative to making suggestions, players can now receive clues about the case if they summon the butler and read hidden notes using a special red decoder. Well worth the money.

This game is excellent fun, but beware when buying from Amazon. The clue sheets are in German and when I contacted Amazon to supply me with an English version they where unable to do so! To be fair they did tell me to return it for a full refund but would have been a lot simpler to supply me with the missing piece.
Great game for adults or teens March 24, 2006

This game is great! I bought it on impulse, and it's made for some really memorable nights. The game has evolved onto a more interactive level, while keeping all the class and skill of the non-DVD version. You can 'ask the butler', and solve clues by passing observation tests in a particular room. All in all, me and Megsy loved it! Good stuff!
