great game if it worked January 3, 2008 bought this for my husband for an xmas gift however the 1 on the screen would not work so made it impossible to play the game. after reading the reviews i was worried that the lighting on the screen was not very good but that turned out to be fine if only he was able to play the game!! when working this would be a great game for sudoko fans.
Good Christmas Gift November 28, 2006 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
These are pretty good fun. I gave one to my Uncle for Christmas last year and didn't put it down all Christmas day. Lots of different difficulty ratings too.
What do you want for a couple of quid?... October 16, 2006 8 out of 14 found this review helpful
This game was given to me as a birthday gift and I loved it! Its a nice small size so I could alway keep it in my bag so that when work was boring I could whip it out and had a go. The screen can be hard to see, but what do you want for a couple of quid! The only problem is IT HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN!!! one night it started playing by itself next to my bed in my bag. I couldnt work out what it was. once we had worked out it was the Sudoku game I never left it in the bedroom again! it seems to happen everytime something is touching the screen even though the game is switched off. This i could live with, but the reason I am writting this review is to warn anyone who is experianing a loud high pitched ringing sound and has one of these games! All of last night me and my boyfriend where trying to work out what the noise was, we even turned all the electrics off in the house and sat in the dark for a minute to see if it would stop. It was only this morning I went to get my nail file out my bag and there it was, screeching! ive now slammed the game sevral times with a hammer, it seems to have killed it... please beware when purchasing this item.
Do not even consider it April 18, 2006 38 out of 39 found this review helpful
What's the point in a Sudoku game where you cannot even SEE the numbers? Even with the best combination of contrast settings and finding the right lighting angle you are likely to struggle and squint at the display. Clearly they wanted to save battery life, but in this case the 'compromise' totally undermines the product. If you bought it I hope you kept the receipt. You may need it for a refund.
Spend your money on something else April 3, 2006 31 out of 33 found this review helpful
I bought this for my wife for Christmas, she's a Sudoku fan but only tried using it twice as she couldn't see the screen and, except for basic puzzles, there's no way of recording which numbers you've eliminated as possibilities. Stick to the paper or PC versions until something usable come along. Very disappointing that Carol Vorderman endorsed such poor quality.
