4 out of 5 stars Fabulous toy...   October 13, 2008

...but not if you live in a hard water area.

My daughter loved these after they were given as a present. However, despite trying really hard to get all of the water out after every use, and storing them so they could drain, they gradually turned black with limescale and mildew, and even squirted out little black bits. We've sadly had to throw them out as we simply could not get them clean.

4 out of 5 stars Fun but don't let the water stay in them when not using!   May 30, 2008

OK like many of these bath toys they are good fun and can keep you playing in the bath with the kid(s) for ages.
But a note of caution!
When finished playing with them in the water make sure you empty out the water from these things.
As over time mould will build up inside of them and you see little dark spots inside. If the child puts them to their mouths and squirts of sucks from them like most will do then these mould spots will be swallowed.
They also will appear in the bath water as I have discovered.

3 out of 5 stars Ok, but...   October 11, 2007

This is a reasonable toy, but no more. There aren't that many different things to do with it, and it fills up a lot of bath space for not much functionality. My son quickly got bored with it. Plus, be careful to squeeze all the water out of every baby octopus after every bath before you store it as mildew can build up inside them (ick). Frankly, my son is happier with a plastic funnel, a plastic water bottle and a cup in the bath.... But this was a present, and so here we are.

5 out of 5 stars so cute!   June 23, 2007

My daughter loves these Octopals. They're very cute and she likes to line up all the little babies in a row so that their eyes are facing her. They can be stuck to almost any surface in the bath with their suction cups and when you squeeze them over the bath, each one makes a different squeaky sound. Best of all, they're very easy to squeeze and so they can be kept very clean. Some squeezy bath toys grow mold if you don't empty out the water every time, and some of them are difficult to squeeze. These little guys are very squeezy and so you can be sure 99% of the water is out when you clean up after bathtime.

5 out of 5 stars Octopals - Squirty Fun With My Boy   September 14, 2006

I always bath with my baby and he has loved these little squirty octopals since he had them at 5 months, they, fill up nice and easy, easy for little hands to hold and squeeze I love the shocked look on his face when he manages to get me with one.
Only bad thing is the lilly-pad is quite big and the little babes don't stay on it well, it gets discarded. Also if you leave the octopals with any water in them then after a week on Holiday you need to soak them in PHP to get rid of the mossy green goop inside them. It washes away fine if you know what to look for.
