Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars the mess is grease not colour..   September 4, 2007

My 3 year old girl got that as a present and she was initially thrilled with the novelty of it. The colour doesn't run so it's "mess free" colourwise but as the paste in the pots is grease, everything gets greasy. The sponges also need regular wash as my daughter used the same sponge for all the colours and later pictures ended all orangy..It's a nice novel idea, but a greasy one too, so I'm not very impressed. Also my daughter stopped using it as soon as the novelty weaned...4 stars for the novelty of it...Crayola keep trying...

2 out of 5 stars Disappointing but not messy at all   March 12, 2007

Well my 4 year old today daughter has only done 3 pictures so far and the orange paint has run out already. I imagine she will be colouring most of the remaining pictures in with her colouring pencils at this rate! No mess though, so that can't be bad and she is certainly enjoying herself. Just don't expect it to last long.

5 out of 5 stars excellent idea for toddlers   February 3, 2006

This is one of the best art toys i have bought for my 2 year old. No mess at all, it comes with a book, 2 sponges and the "paint" pallet with 6 colours. No messy hands and definately no stained clothes or carpets.

5 out of 5 stars What a fab invention !   August 23, 2005

I bought this for my daughter (she is 3 and half) today and she absolutely love it !
Painting is real fun not messy at all because all you do is dab a sponge into the paint then onto a picture wait a bit and there we have a fab coloured picture !(paint is not a real paint but some greasy material)which does not stain or leak -does not make a mess at all !
However it`s a little pricey for what you get(2 sponges and 1 colouring book with 24 pages).
The trick is that this is only type of the book which works with this particular paint.
