Interesting account from a decidedly Christian viewpoint. May 29, 2002

A useful book which covers many aspects of the Christian religion in the Norse world, with particular emphasis on conversion and the spread of the new religion.
There is a distinct Christian bias, with some perjorative statements about the Norse religion which are at odds with the apparent research underatken to produce the book.
I feel that this book should be read in conjunction with a more objective overview of the Norse religions (e.g. Turville-Peters "Gods and Myths of Scandinavia" or Branston "Gods of the North").
Worth reading for it's subjective addition to the subject.
