Now in its 22nd edition, The Good Hotel Guide 1999 has an outstanding reputation for providing reliable and independent information. This updated edition--the second in which Continental Europe has been separated from the UK and Ireland-- includes information on more than 1000 hotels based on readers' recommendations which are backed by anonymous inspections. The guide is divided into sections according to price and location. There are luxury city hotels, simple rural hotels, seaside hotels, skiing and walking hotels, as well as hotels for the disabled, those that welcome children and informal hotels run like private houses. The hotels' telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and Web site addresses are included. The entries vary in length and some include excerpts from readers' letters. Each citation includes the name of the reader who nominated the hotel.
