Simply wicked October 7, 2008 I loved this book I bought it at the airport when I was going on holiday with one of my ex's and his mother and thought o god what have I got myself into after realising just how much detail it went into but it is really funny aswell as graphic. I found the funniest parts are the bits that have been put in after each month of her life I loved the breakdown of the pros and cons of male genitalia size which to everyone I have read that part out everyone has found simply halierious and in some cases true. It is just a book you buy on a whim but it'll land up being a firm favourite. I loved it but sadly with moving house so often in the last 18months I've lost my copy so it's deffiantly a book I'll be buying again regardless to what anyone has to say.
Girl with a five star talent September 29, 2008 Originally I'd planned to read Abby's book behind closed doors; after all, a man should not be seen in public with a sex book, especially one with a naked girl on the cover. But after about three pages in the idea of leaving it at home was out of the question. Deliciously candid, often hilariously funny and always borderline pornographic, Girl With A One Track Mind is one of those rare books where the cliche 'I couldn't put it down' is actually true. Highly, highly recommended.

Hmmm. I tried to like this book, I tried to like Abby, but doesn't read as a book it reads as the diary of a lonely teenaged girl with a vivid imagination and an idea that the word frig is scandalous. It's not, just frigging irritating when repeated too often.
I'm not a great blog fan but I can see how snippets of this 'world' would fill a coffee break or dull morning at the office beautifully it's just...not very real. Ultimately a real life confessional should feature a little glimpse of a real life. Abby didn't seem to have one. Or friends. It came across as a little sad and hollow. There's nothing titillating about loneliness.
There is depth to this book that most might not see... February 16, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
You do not know what you are letting yourself in for. For some men it would be considered a dream to find a woman who is sexually experienced and liberated, who at the same time merely wants to sate her lusts as opposed to take on anything meaningful. However, it still shows clearly that we are still very much a culture that finds a woman's completely carefree attitude towards sex almost alien. This book is a serious eye-opener and in some ways takes on a depth that it may not have ever intended to display.
The book itself is set out like a diary as Abbey Lee describes a year of her life, describing various sexual encounters with people she meets quite randomly, how she comes close to a serious relationship with one chap, all of which is interspersed with flashbacks to consequential sexual moments in her past. The book is undeniably arousing as she goes on to describe in graphic detail what she has done with various people, to the point where one might feel uncomfortable to read it on the train on the way home from work.
However I think that though the book may not be purchased for these reasons (after all it seems to be clearly marketed towards people looking for a "steamy read") there is a depth to this book. Though it may be palmed off that she is "gagging for it" all the time, there is also a longing for companionship that comes through in the book quite a bit, as well as pointing out that society still has some way to go before women can be considered sexually equal to men. By that I mean that a man who has had a number of sexual partners is thought to be normal or even commended by his peers for such, a woman who could make the same claim would be unfairly labelled unreasonably promiscuous or called names. Abbey comments in the book that many men might shy away from her should they know that she is as experienced as she is. A superb comment on sexuality in the modern world.
An eye opener in any respect.

Starts off really good, but towards the end I just wanted to get laid so I could finish the book!
