4 out of 5 stars good stuff!   December 10, 2007

i am doing as level chem and i find it hard! and its only the 1st module and i no im not the only 1. this book is really valuble and i have used it for a few days. i would reccomend it becuase the cource material books (chemicals ideas and chemical storylines for me) are ultra confusing. this book spreads it out easily and as u have a basic foundationd from doing a bit of work this peices all the little bits together and makes sence of it all. for me it worth spending 4 on. the review from the person above is proberbly a teacher who does not agree with this type of learing becuase it is easy learing. a book worth the 4 and i am deffinetly going to order mine as i read two chapers of it and understood what took 2 and a half weeks of school work to understand x

1 out of 5 stars Not especially helpful for AQA Exams.   January 31, 2007
This is not a great AS Level Chemistry book. Yes, it provides you with some useful background info when you are studying at the start of AS Chemistry after taking GCSE but for revision and actual study, it can only be described as almost useless for the important and less basic of facts/equations/etc. It merely fills the gap of your Summer Holidays before college/sixth form.

4 out of 5 stars Good Explanations for harder AS level concepts in chemistry   February 11, 2001

i have only been using this book for short period of time, and it has proved very valuable in making the transition from GCSE chemistry level to AS level standard. It links the information together very well, and is easy to understand as it is divided into short chapters. Very good for those who are struggling to understand the harder concepts of chemistry in AS Level.
