Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Pretty useful   February 14, 2007
Much of use - good for what it was. However, I think it contained perhaps too little detail on, say, organic reactions, which I would have thought were a fair chunk of most peoples' A-level courses and not just mine. Incidentally, I could get an idea of how many of the UK courses cover it if I had the book on me at present, as it also includes a guide list of the content on each syllabus - surely that's a useful extra for some people.

5 out of 5 stars Another excellent A-Z guide   February 24, 2004

I used this guide as a springboard to cover key A-Level topics and found it very useful. It ties in lucid definitions with many worked examples for key A-Level topics. For such a small book, it is amazing how much core knowledge can be learnt. I would especially recommend this guide be bought in conjunction with the A-Z Chemistry workbook which has a good portfolio of questions to work on.

5 out of 5 stars One of the best   May 13, 2003
This book is great, everything is to the point, easy to understand. Its like a dictionary, so just look up the work and it has everything you need to know about it there.

Its create for those who revise at the last minute as well as those who prefer to spread out their work load.

THere are diagrams where required, like the born - haber cycles etc.

There are no questions or tests in the book, its just information and advice.

Recommended by me and my teacher!

5 out of 5 stars Absolutely indispensible for all chemistry students.   September 22, 2000

This book is an indispensible aid for chemistry students (and teachers) at all levels of education. Each page is packed with concise information about chemical elements, chemical processes and terminology.

An excellent book to help with revision or homeworks, includes diagrams and examples all in an easy to find A-Z fashion.

Just brilliant!
