3 out of 5 stars an okay read   May 16, 2008
I bought this book based on the reviews, it was agood book but not great.

The pace was okay - but it seemed very predictable on what would happen.

3 out of 5 stars Darkfall   February 23, 2008
This book was not one of my favourite reads although I am a big Koontz fan. It just didn't have so much depth to the characters and somehow didn't quite have the same quality to some of his later books.
Saying that though, once you get into it the chase scene is FANTASTIC so don't be too hasty to dismiss it. You really won't be able to put the book down once the chase gets going and you'll really be rooting for the characters to escape and you'll really not know what is going to happen next.
Enjoyable defiantly, just not one of his best through and through.

It has to be said in big, bold letters that this title had a previous title of DARKNESS COMES. It's exactly the same book, but with a different title it would encourage Koontz fans to buy it thinking it's new. If you haven't read Darkfall(or Darkness Comes)it's a good read. Not as good as Watchers or Lightening, but up there with the best of the rest.

Surely has to rate as among his best...
This novel has everything and more that a suspence thriller should have.
It grips from the first to the last page, is scary, suspence-filled and contains a superb plot/characterization.

Gripping,atmospheric and menacing.
Koontz is the master of the horror genre.
