5 out of 5 stars Great Sequel!!!   February 11, 2008

This is the fantastic sequel to the brilliant Bindi Babes. The first book was about three Asian sisters whose aunt had come to take over their lives after the death of their mother. In this sequel she is now firmly ensconced in the girls' affairs and they've all learned to live together.

But the girls' school is desperate to raise funds and their aunt is keen to help out so they decide to arrange a Bollywood theme party. There's only one thing for it, the girls decide, to get a real Bollywood star (all right, a faded Bollywood star) to come and attend too. But the faded beauty they find ends up moving in with them, and becomes even more of a nightmare than their auntie ever was. She is foul-tempered, rude, expects to be waited on hand and foot, and is completely lazy to boot. And the girls are left to wonder if she may even have designs on the teacher that they've been trying to fix their aunt up with - or even worse, their dad! Imagine this terrible woman as their step-mother - this bright idea may just turn out to be the worst idea they've ever had. Or will it?

This book has all the same fun which made the first book so appealing, and will have you laughing out loud. It's just as good as Bindi Babes, so after you've read that, don't forget to give this one a go too!

5 out of 5 stars Book of the Year   September 11, 2007
Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant!

This book is even better than the magnificent first in the series - 'Bindi Babes'. All the characters are genuinely heart-warming - it makes me wish I'd grown up in a Punjabi family!

The text zips along in a frictionless way with great dialogue and throw-away lines that will leave you giggling and laughing out loud so often that the other people on the bus will soon be edging away from you.

And I love Auntie so much! It's the first time I've ever fallen in love with an imaginary character - a bit scary really.

This book centres around failing movie star, Molly Mahal, and her last desperate attempt to regain the world she lost - think Shilpa Shetty big-time. Does she succeed? Read the book and find out!

Someone really needs to take this family and turn it into a TV series - it'll be a knockout.

Brillaint book.Very detailed and quite moving. Bindi and Bagangra Babes are also excellent. This is the 2nd book in the series. Jazzvinder,Geena and Amberjit are 3 popular girls whose mum died 1 year ago. There aunt has moved from india to look after them but she is extremly interfering! They try to marry her off but it turns out that their mum wanted their aunt-susie to stay. Now Susie is interfering in their school but the girls decide to take control and invite Molly Mahal-ex-boolywood star to stay. But shes not all she makes out to be!!!!!
A great read!

This book is absolutely brilliant! Its about 3 girls called Amber, Jazz and Geena. The Girl's school is desperate for funds, so their auntie helps out by organising a Bollywood Party.
The Girls deciede to bring a real Bollywood star to the party.
But is this Bollywood star really a star?
Reccomended ages 10-14
Enjoy!
