Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars I would give it less stars if I could   April 22, 2002

This is the worst textbook I have ever used. Not only are many of the examples unmatched with their answers, the few answers provided in the back of the book are also usually incorrect. The book is written at too-high of a level for an introductory circuits course and does not use standard industry variables and descriptors. The problems at the end of the chapters do not accurately reflect what should be learned from the chapter and are sometimes even physically impossible scenarios. My professor was forced to use additional made-up problems in order to compensate for the books inability to teach.

4 out of 5 stars A good book for introductory university electronics courses.   February 5, 2000

This book covers many topics to an intoductory level. Circuits, Devices and Systems is not a reference standard book, but is a good book to use as a back up to introductory electronics modules. The style of this book seems to be more academic than practical, which although in some respects is not helpful, it makes it suitable for the kind of knowledge required for university electronics modules.
