A Brilliant Book October 30, 2002 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Albert Einstein's 'Ideas & Opinions' is a collection of insightful, creative and rich essays which reflect upon a variety of issues. Einstein's unparalleled genius for the Sciences is reflected upon every page of this book. He covers many subjects which are of growing importance to this day, such as pacifism, the role of the USA in the world, sociology, scientific and religious coexistence and so on, forthrightly, with convincing clarity.I have found this book to be an excellent way of understanding the state of the planet through the eyes of one of the greatest thinkers we shall ever know. One can only speculate at what the world would be like should he still be alive today. Read this book, if only to keep his brilliant ideas alive.

Overall, recommended October 27, 2002 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This book has two parts that I am not sure go togather. In the first part (p. 1-216) the authir presents his views on politics, religion, humanity and other such topics. It was the interest in these topics that prompted me to read the book. In the second part (p. 217-377) Prof. Einstein discusses his analytical work. I must admit that not beeing a Physicist, at times I was not able to follow. For that reason I cannot comment on that part of the book. Overall, I would recommand reading this book if only for its first part.
