A real page turner June 24, 2008 I really enjoyed this book, it was very hard to put down and didn't take long to read. I think his use of very short passages helps, you just read another bit, then think you'll read another because they're only short, and before you know it you've read another 50 pages. Very intriguing, with plenty twists along the way, compulsively readable, it grips from the very beginning. Very very good. The only criticism is that I thought there would be a little bit more action at the end, the reasons for the abduction are well thought out and explained but following that I was expecting something else to happen, and it didn't. Still, a very exciting and enjoyable book which I would definitely recommend.
Another great story from this author February 13, 2008 This is the second book I have read from this Author - the first been "Past Caring - which was brilliant, this book was almost as good. Couldn't put this book down, lots of twists and turns right up to the end, Robert Goddard has this knack of keeping you intrigued and keeps you wondering how the story is going to pan out. Will certainly read more from this author.
Loved it! October 10, 2007 I think the Junius part of the story was unnessesary but as it was the first mystery book that I have ever read, I didn't mind too much. I really, really enjoyed this book, I was a bit weary at first because I didn't know what to expect but I loved it. I read another of Robert Goddard's books (more of a ghosty one but I don't remember what it's called) and that was excellent too. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a book with unpredictable twists and turns.
Absorbing from start to finish October 18, 2006 I read this after my dad recommended it to me and without question from the start it was brilliant.
Initially after read the back of the book i didnt believe it would be my sort of action packed book but i was definitely wrong about that. It had all the twists and turns that you would want from a good read and as it involved familiar places it gave it some kind of special feel to the book.
i had no negatives but only a slight that was that at the end not all the sub-plots seemed to be tied up as nicely as i wanted.
But above all i loved this book and simply couldnt put it down. It is a definite must read.

First novel i have read of Robert Goodard.
Enjoyed the read but i think the book could have been written without the history of Junius. i got a little confused and skipped parts of the book when the author went back centuries.
got a little confused also with all the characters and did have to back track and re-read parts of the book. the conclusion was excellent.
i am going to re-read the book.
