This has to be without a doubt THE book to read for ANYONE going to Orlando, and Florida in general. I found it not only very informative, but well written and laid out. I shall buy an updated version when next I go to Florida. If you are planning a holiday to Florida do yourself a HUGE favour, and buy and read this prior to going you won't regret it. Well done Simon

5 out of 5 stars Totally Invaluable   September 24, 2003

The best advice I can ever give anyone going to Florida for the Theme Parks is to plan. It might sound boring but you will appreciate it. Know what day you are going where, what rides you want to see or will be able to go on. The best way to do this is without a doubt via this book. We went in the last weeks of school summer holidays 2003 and becuase we had seen what parks were busy on what days we never expereience anything like the horror queues you hear about. Animal Kingdom on a saturday? walk stright on Dinosaur or the Safari or River Rapids. When those hwo havent planned finally find these rides you have done them and done them again and are taking in some of the minor attractions while they queue. Its the same for all parks. But this offers much more, help for first timers about where to eat, other attractions. The best thing I can say about this book is we threw it in the bin on our last day there. Why? Well becuase it was so well thumbed and referred to, the cover had come off the pages were creased and torn. It had done its job. If you are spending hundreds of pounds on disney tickets, its a waste if you dont add a tenner and buy this.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderfully informative and superbly written   July 30, 2003

Without doubt A Brit's Guide is the most informative and well written guide I have read on Orlando and Florida. The 'Brit tips' which feature throughout the book give valuable pointers to the holiday maker from the author and previous holiday makers. Disney World, Universal aswell as the other main theme parks and water parks are thoroughly investigated as are numerous restaurants and other attractions. I'm going back to Orlando this year and this is one book I won't be forgetting to pack.

This just has to be the only book any Brit needs to read before visiting Orlando. I bought 2 others before I found this one and believe me it trounces the competition! It is clearly laid out and gives you all the inside tips on all the parks, plus excellent food, driving, accomodation and shopping recommendations. If you believe in following the boy scout principle of being prepared then this book is a must. I was even sad enough to highlight the absolutely defininte things we had to do before we'd left the UK, but it paid off. We avoided queues in parks, ate wonderful meals and had a fantastic holiday. Keep up the good work Simon!

5 out of 5 stars Best Book for that trip !   June 11, 2003

I'm one of those sad people who likes to read about the place i'm going.
Taking this July will be my 6th visit to Orlando it really shows how good this book is.
Usually you get stuck with the same old ideas, but this book gives great suggestions,so this year we are pretending that its our first time and will follow recommendations from the book.
The 2003 book is the 3rd version of this book I've purchased and every year there are useful additions.
And as I've read 3 other books also this year, believe me this book is the best.
Its worth every penny, trust me !!
