i disagree quite strongly with the 2 reviews above. having read alot of anderson over the years it is superb to see some of artist arthur ransoms work finally in colour. his naturalistic style gives great pathos i feel to the scenes of human suffering through the ages as satan takes control. the story being shown mostly from the thoughts inside satans head is a nice touch with messr grant throwing in some cute one liners. both stories in this tomb have serious undercurrents relating to religious issues, but also have a soft fluffy over coat of wit and violence

A fairly lame story about aliens from mars sporting some truly diabolical art work make this the weakest Anderson book to date. It does have some nice touches like the apeman and the talking monkey but everything looks so awful and messy that it's not good reading. Released originally in the dredd megazine and more evidence of the decline in the efforts of all at 2000ad during that time. A shame.

This is fairly good with some reasonably tense moments and some of the usual snappy dredd/anderson interaction. Let down by a weak ending and some fairly ordinary artwork. Includes "the jesus syndrome" which is shorter but a lot better than the main story. Worth a few on it's own. "Satan" itself is for big fans of 2000ad only.
