 A great one for the hopless romantics August 31, 2004
To me, this is just a really nice, sweet, in-offensive love story, which, if you had read it as a work of fiction in the style of a Mills & Boon book, would be a winner to read cuddled up on the sofa with a duvet, a glass of wine and a great big box of chocolates, and would leave you with a warm glow at the end. The subject matter does make this different, but doesn't change my feelings about the book. Too many people might believe people like Rene Delorm, and later Paul Burrell, are cashing in on their expereinces with Daina and Dodi. I do not feel this is the case with either books. While it may seem at times when you read this book that Rene is maybe seeing things through rose tinited glasses, at the end of the day, where is the crime in that ? And what harm is he doing? With Diana & Dodi - A Love Story, Rene has written a tribute to his Boss and the Princess which is almost childlike in its desire to let us know that "here is a love story of great intensity and hapiness - too good perhaps for this world". This truely is a story for the incurable romantics of this world (of which I am one) and for that reason alone, we must thank Rene Delorm for this touching tribute.

Lovely written sensitive book, very informitive, the author takes you cruising around the Med with Diana and Dodi during their final days, you learn more about their relationship, and feel that you are part of this intimate story, but we all know the ending is just to hard to take, definately worth reading, as it is written by someone who spent a lot of time with them personally, and is not just hear say, thanks to the author for such a special book and informitive read.
