A very good book, ideal for all trainee Ophthalmologists.
presents a clear and an up-to-date summary in all areas of ocular basic sciences.
a very much readable book, except the physiology section, which i personally found a bit tough to go through.

The Eye by Forrester is THE book to buy if you are serious in starting out in Ophthalmology. It is also an excellent book to own even if you are an expert in Ophthalmology. Looking for a book on updated knowledge on the basic sciences of Ophthalmology? This is it. This latest edition comes in better layout in colour and format. Those taking Ophthalmology entrance exams of MRCOphth(Lond), MRCS(Edin), FRCS (Ire), MMed(S'pore), FRCS(Glas), the American Ophthalmology board exams and similar exams will all benefit from it. Enough said.
