Little book, with BIG things inside June 16, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've played the guitar for 34 years, wow! what a long time! and I'm still learning. This book is a really useful size to go in my gig bag, and come out for those too frequent times I forget where to put my fingers. A really great resource. There's lots of electronic simplier products but you'd have to go far to beat this book.
Very Handy Reference January 23, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
A very good little reference manual. Easy to use, well written, an ideal acquisition for beginners and experts alike. Touches a bit on musical theory and chord structure but in a manner that doesn't scare you from wanting to know more.
Handy book September 6, 2005 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I found this a very useful book which really helped me not only learn more chord shapes but understand how chords are structered. Very handy book to have, but obviously not enough to teach you guitar from scratch - try Guitar For Dummies for this.
Cool little book February 13, 2005 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This chord book is perfect for any beginner guitarist. Beginners will learn a great deal from this, and it is so small you can slap it in your guitar case, and it's good for a quick last minute chord revision at a gig. A intermediate to pro guitarist might want a more complete chord book, because although this book has a wide variety of chords, its not as complete as other chord books you will find. Overall, a great little book for any new guitarist
->For the money...it's spot on!<- October 29, 2000 38 out of 40 found this review helpful
This is a basic starter book for learning those darn guitar chords. I had only just bought my guitar and i didn't have the slightest idea on how the pro's play like they do. After a few days i could play loads of notes and i didn't have to look at the book for how to put my fingers. It's a great buy although some might prefere to splash out on a bigger book like 'Guitar for Dummies' or 'The "First Stage" Guitar Book' and get the whole lot in one go. The book is a cheap, understandable and ideal for learning to play like a pro, well almost hey!
