An essential companion in Laos January 13, 2008
The LP Lao Phrasebook is much more than just a list of phrases to help in tricky situations. The background information usefully supplements any guidebook you may be travelling with and the description of pronunciation, especially of the tones, is user-friendly.

In a country with little english and a horrifically complex language this pocket sized little lifesaver got me out of a number of scrapes. If you're planning a trip to laos and think you will get away from the tourist centres of Vientiane, Luang Prabang and VV you will find this essential for your journey- the food section alone is worth its weight in gold!!!
