Great book and fits inside a map pocket! October 24, 2007

This is a very useful book. Walked the Cumbria Way with a mate last week. He had the OS maps, but they weren't really needed as this book has page by page excerpts from the map as you go along. The long hand description of the trail is also very helpful for points where the track way is unclear and the map isn't helpful - this can be the case even if you're good with maps. The description includes guides to what can be seen from certain points too and describes the changing terrain, height climbed etc etc. All in all, I would definitely want a book from this series again if I was doing any other trail, and wouldn't be without it for the Cumbria Way.
