This book is not as funny as some of the others he's written, but don't let that put you off.
He gets over to the reader some idea of Australia's sheer vastness and it's wilderness.
I've seen programmes and read other books about Australia, but Bill Bryson is the only one who's explained fully the fascination and the sheer size of Australia. This book is well worth a read

it is the most delightful, intresting, amusing , amazing and funny travel book i ever read. in fact it is more entertaining book i read for a while. I would give it a 6 stars rating if available and i recommend it to everybody with good taste.
