This is a charming series that has been available in the states only briefly on public television. The characters are engaging and funny while reminding us fondly of our travels in Ireland. The scenery and story lines provide a wonderful entertainment. We're delighted to find the second series available on DVD. We'll quickly purchase others and hope that they become available soon.

The only down side is the BBC never released the four series with Stephen Thompkingson and Dervla Kirwan as Father Peter Clifford and Publician Assumpta Fitzgerarld. This is a fantastic video and a fantastic series. Watch it and see!
most charming October 10, 2000
Fab show, funny and charming. Being a fan of the series I was very appreciative of the interviews and background information. It was delightful to hear the actor's views and the story of how the cast was recruited (flying back and forth for auditions and interviews). For fans of the show the tape gives a great opportunity to meet the actors and creators, and for those who still haven't seen, I recommend it for its humour and great storytelling. I only wish they put more seasons on tape.
